雷古拉·文斯克：让我们记得刘晓波，传承他的精神遗产

按语：国际笔会总部前理事、秘书长、前任德国笔会会长雷古拉·文斯克（Dr. Regula Venske），出席了在莱比锡举行的“2026年刘晓波逝世9周年——首届刘晓波人权奖颁奖典礼暨中国宪政民主讨论会”，并在开幕式上致辞。

大家早安！亲爱的天琪，衷心感谢您邀请我参加这场活动。在我服务于德国笔会（PEN Germany）和国际笔会（PEN International）的岁月里，您一直是我极好的“并肩战友”与顾问。感谢您始终如一的坚定投入。

各位刘晓波的朋友，我很高兴能转达国际笔会“狱中作家委员会”主席玛·蒂达（Ma Thida）博士的问候。她的话语如下：“刘晓波的作品无法被威权主义的系统性压制所扼杀。他的写作并非旨在瓦解社会，而是基于人权与民主的价值观，激发人们对社会更深层的理解，并引发对社会未来的深思。”

正如许多人所知，作家兼医生玛·蒂达本人也曾是个良心犯。她曾在缅甸一间狭小的牢房里度过了六年时光，期间既不被允许阅读，也不被允许写作。目前，她是德国笔会（PEN Germany）“流亡作家计划”的学者，现居柏林。

此外，德国笔会“狱中作家委员会”主席兼副会长纳杰姆·瓦利（Najem Wali）也致以了诚挚的问候。他是一位常驻柏林的作家兼人权运动者，曾于1980年脱离伊拉克军队并流亡至西德。以下是他的寄语：

“我记得那是20世纪80年代末，当时我从汉堡搬到马德里，准备在康普顿斯大学（Complutense University）求学。然而，我无心专注于学业或入学准备，因为我的目光完全被1989年夏北京天安门广场上发生的事情所吸引。从一开始，我就被那个不畏的人就被那个不畏的人走向了坦克。

关于和平运动家、赫尔曼·凯斯滕奖（Hermann Kesten Prize）得主及诺贝尔和平奖得主刘晓波，以及他所进行的和平抗争，人们可以谈论很多；但最令我铭记于心、并如灯塔般熠熠生辉的，是他关于言论自由的论述：‘言论自由是人权的基础、人性的源头、真理的母亲。’

刘晓波于2017年去世。直到生命最后一刻，他始终彰显其信念的赤诚：‘我没有敌人，也没有仇恨。’这样的话语，又有谁能忘怀呢？”

确实，谁又能忘怀呢？

Ni hao! Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and a warm thank you to you, dear Tienchi, for the invitation to join this event. You have been a wonderful ‘partner-in-crime’ and advisor during the years when I served with PEN Germany and PEN International. Thank you for your unwavering commitment.

Dear friends of Liu Xiaobo, I am happy to pass on the greetings of Dr. Ma Thida, Chair of the Writers-in-Prison-Committee of PEN International. These are her words: “Liu’s work cannot be silenced by the systematic oppression of authoritarianism. His writings did not seek to dismantle society but to inspire a deeper understanding of it and a more thoughtful reflection on its future, grounded in the values of human rights and democracy.”

As some of you may know, Ma Thida, who is a writer and a medical doctor, is a former prisoner of conscience herself. She spent six years in a tiny prison cell in Myanmar during which time she was neither allowed to read nor to write. Currently, she is a scholar in the Writers-in-Exile-Program of German PEN and lives in Berlin.

Also, Najem Wali, Writers-in-Prison-Chair and Vice-President of PEN Germany, sends his best regards. He is a Berlin-based writer and human rights activist who spent some time in one of Saddam Hussein’s prisons. He deserted the Iraqi army and fled to West Germany in 1980. This is his message:

“I remember that it was in the late 1980’s when I moved from Hamburg to Madrid to study at Complutense University. But instead of focusing on my studies and preparations, I was captivated by the events that took place in the summer of 1989 on Tiananmen Square in Beijing. From the very beginning, I was struck by the image of that defiant man who – peacefully – walked up to the tanks to stand in their way.

One could say a lot about the peace activist, the Hermann Kesten Prize winner and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo, and his peaceful struggle, but above all, his words on freedom of expression have stuck vividly in my mind and shine like a beacon: ‘Freedom of expression is the foundation of human rights, the source of humanity, and the mother of truth.’ Liu Xiaobo passed away in 2017. Until the very end, he demonstrated the sincerity of his intentions. ‘I have no enemies; I know no hatred.’ Who could ever forget such a sentence?”

Yes indeed, who could ever forget?

Dear friends, let us keep Liu Xiaobo’s memory and his legacy alive.
